These terms apply to every booking with Calypso Mekong. Two booking types are sold: Cabin Charter, individual cabins on a scheduled departure, and Private Full Charter, the whole vessel under a contract.
1. Booking
- Booking window: at least 14 days and at most 12 months before the departure date.
- Age, Cabin Charter: guests aged 12 and over only, counted on the departure date.
- Age, Private Full Charter: all ages. For a guest under 18, a parent or guardian signs three commitments covering personal data, use of images and health.
- Contract: a booking becomes binding only when Calypso Mekong sends a written confirmation after receiving the deposit or the payment.

Late payment: if the full amount has not been received by the due date, Calypso Mekong sends one written reminder. If payment is still incomplete after that reminder, Calypso Mekong may cancel the booking and apply the cancellation fees below.

If the contract is signed after the due date of an instalment, that instalment is paid on signing.
Payment methods
- Bank transfer or international card, using the details in the written confirmation. The guest bears transfer fees and any exchange difference when paying in a currency other than US dollars.
- Card payments through the online payment gateway carry a processing fee of 3.5%. Prices are listed in US dollars.
3. Cancellation and changes by the guest
All periods count back from the departure date, which is day 0, in Vietnam time (GMT+7).

Changing the date or the name
- Date change: free once when notified at least 121 days before departure, to a departure with space within the following 12 months. With less than 121 days’ notice, the change counts as a cancellation of the original booking and a new booking.
- Name change: free until 30 days before departure. No name changes are accepted in the final 30 days.
4. Refunds
- Refunds are processed within 30 days of Calypso Mekong confirming the cancellation.
- Refunds are made by the method used for payment. Bank fees and exchange differences are deducted from the amount refunded.
- Not refundable: the 3.5% card processing fee, and third-party costs already paid (such as destination partner services).
5. Cancellation by Calypso Mekong or force majeure
- Too few cabins to sail: a Cabin Charter departure needs at least 2 cabins sold. If it cannot run, Calypso Mekong informs guests 30 days before departure, and each guest chooses a 100% refund or a free change to another departure.
- Force majeure: the unused part of the voyage is refunded in proportion to the nights not used, after deducting third-party costs actually paid.
