Crownline cruiser

THE DAY CRUISER

The Crownline cruiser

A quick, private sport cruiser for the hours the yacht cannot reach: market boats at dawn, canals too narrow for a catamaran and a riverfront at dusk.

THE VESSEL

The quick way onto the river.

Where the Aquila 44 is home for the voyage, the Crownline is the way in: a sleek sport cruiser with a covered cabin, a cockpit open to the air and a deep-blue hull that looks as good beside a rice barge as it does under the lights of a capital.

It carries a small party out from the yacht for a morning or an evening: to a market before the crowds, along a canal, past a village on stilts. Guests step aboard at the stern, sit where they like and are back at the anchorage in time for lunch.

The cuddy cabin is there for shade, a cold drink and a rest. It is not a second yacht, and it never sails overnight.

BELOW DECK

A cabin built for the afternoon

Warm wood-grain joinery, a wide settee and a galley that works: below the
foredeck the Crownline holds a surprising amount of comfort for a boat of its
size.

  • U-shaped settee that converts to a berth
  • Galley with sink, cooktop, refrigerator and microwave
  • Overhead hatch and oval portlights for daylight
  • Enclosed head, so a long day needs no stop ashore

ON THE RIVER

Three places the small boat goes

The Crownline works alongside the yacht, never in place of it.

The cruiser works alongside the yacht, never in place of it: short runs from the anchorage, each with a clear purpose.

Runs shown are illustrative. Routes, timings and permits are confirmed for each departure.

The day, in three short runs

  1. DELTA, AT DAWN

    Among the market boats

The Crownline slips ahead of the yacht at first light and reaches the floating markets while the water is still glass. Guests go alongside, watch the trading, and return to the Aquila for breakfast.

  2. PHNOM PENH, EVENING

    The riverfront by lamplight

A short evening run past the Royal Palace and Sisowath Quay, close to the mooring and kept inside the daylight and permit rules of the day.

  3. TONLE SAP, MIDDAY

    Beside the floating villages

Where a larger hull cannot go, the cruiser can: along the stilt houses of Kampong Luong at an easy pace, with the village rowing out to meet it.

THE SMALL BOAT

Short runs, clear purpose

Each run begins and ends at the main yacht. The Crownline is used for a specific shore experience, then returns guests to the anchorage. It is a day cruiser, not an overnight vessel.
